Monday I finally opened up my bank account...in person (with Washington Mutual). This time, it was a relatively fast and painless experience...for the most part. I successfully opened up a free checking account...took about 15 minutes. However, when I came home...I tried to apply for a linked Online Savings account...yeah, um.....not so painless. For some reason, not only was the Online Savings account denied, but they locked my account entirely...forcing me to wait 7 business days, before I can access what little money I put in. I was less than pleased (to say the least).
After a few choice words at the computer (as if it could hear me)...I called up WAMU and waited for a representative. I was patient...kind of, and was very polite to the woman at the other end. She was frienldy, but doesn't help sometimes. She told me, that since it was an online account, it was computer driven and there was nothing more she could do. I had to wait those 7 days and try again. WOW, I must say....DO NOT USE WASHINGTON MUTUAL!!!! I've never had this many issues opening a bank account. It's pretty simple...give them money, sign a piece of paper or 2, get some starter checks....and login online to my account. Simple...you would think. So, I'm still waiting to see when the account will be available to access. I'll pull most of the money...and try again....this way, it doesn't get ALL tied up in the bank.
DO NOT USE WASHINGTON MUTUAL!!!!
So Tuesday...Tuesday wasn't bad. I had a chance to work on a tan. Bad idea...lol I should have used sunscreen...but didn't. You can see where this is going. We did yard work for the big day (Saturday)...I was out front cleaning the bushes/trees/plants. I didn't think I was outside nearly as long as I was...but I got burned. Like any burn...it wasn't obvious at first...but it hit me hard that night. I was beat red...but got over it...not my first burn, won't be my last. The next morning though, that was a different story. I woke up with my shoulders blistered all over. I guess I was outside longer than I thought.
Wednesday & Thursday I took it easy...still cleaned, but stayed out of the sun. I planned on taking the motorcycle out, but couldn't bare to wear too much. Fortunately, Seth was kind enough to rub my back down with aloe multiple times a day. Friday, was different though, this time...both Seth & Peter got burned (as we were outside again cleaning and finishing up). I worked out front a little more (not long though)...then attempted to help out back around the pool. That was fun, I got so warm, that I just jumped in and swam. A few minutes later, Clay joined me...and we just horsed around.
I had another fun week with Tom & Clay...most nights, I hung out with them and did misc. things. We hit several bars, played pool & darts...and talked. Clay was awesome...he took me shopping to get some new clothes (AE of course!!!). It was fun...I got 2 new shirts, 2 pairs of shorts, and a pair of sandals. Fortunately, Clay was kind enough to help out (with his discount)...but shhh. I need to save up a little more so I can get some stuff down the road. It's been a blast hanging out with him & Tom...both very cool guys.
Saturday, I woke up and hung out with Clay & Tom again. We hit Tom's place, a pool bar, and then hit the airport to pickup Zachyboi. That was fun...it was nice to get out right before the party, and just relax. After picking up Zachyboi...we said hi to some of Clay's friends, then headed back to the house....and let the party begin!
Wow, well...overall, the party wasn't much different than others I've been too. Alcohol, drunk guys, ex's, drama, fights, ambulance....yeah, pretty much the typical. Only difference this time - no cops, and no straight people. One person was taken to the hospital after he fell down the stairs, hit his head, and broke his wrist (all after TONS of drinking). I met a few people (though most kept to themselves - all the ex-cbl boys). It was cool to meet a few of the members. Two people I invited showed up...which was nice. I pretty much avoided drama, though some was indirectly related to me (Seth & James...I'll leave it at that). Overall, it was fun...ended at the right time. **I wish Ryan well...and hope he heals soon**
That brings us to today. Today (Sunday) I took Joe & Brandon to Tom's softball game. We met Clay and Zachyboi there...hung out, shot the sh*t, and just took it easy. After a bit, we came home...did chat, and now...this diary. It's definitely been an interesting week. Long in some regards...but good nevertheless. Let's see what my third week holds in store. Everyone else, have an awesome week!
