First Week...

Hi guys, well...this was my first official week at CBL.  For those that have followed along, I spent the 2 weeks prior to this week, in Michigan...getting ready for the move.  I had to finish out my last 2 weeks at work, pack everything up, say bye to a select few friends, and make the drive.  All in all, those two weeks went as well as could be expected.  I struggled with getting my motorcycle down here, but thanks to a very kind person, the whole process was made easier (thanks, it meant a lot!)

I'll jump into the drive...the drive was looong, but decent.  I took off Saturday morning and mapped it at 18 hrs...but made it in just under 16.  I decided to drive straight thru (despite advise from various people).  The only part of the drive that was undesirable was a huge thunderstorm in Atlanta...that slowed me down a lot.  After stopping 4 times, spending $158.00 for gas...I made it down to FL at 4am on Sunday.

Next morning (Monday), I jumped right into CBL life.  I put unpacking on hold to take Jonathan to the hospital.  I guess the night before he started feeling ill, then the next morning, he had a 102.7 degree temperature.  That took up most of the day...but I'm glad he finally went.  Turns out he had strep throat and tonsillitis.  He just recently got over it...but took him a week to do so.

The rest of the week has been pretty much a blur...I unpacked (for the most part), met my new roommates (Seth & Peter), looked for work, and relaxed.  Thursday, my motorcycle made it down from MI, so Zac took me to pick it up...I was/am thrilled to have it back.  I explored town just a little...attempted to get settled (which hasn't been working out as well as I would like...but not too bad for the first week).  I'm going to try yet again, to open a bank account down here and find a gym that I like.

I have had fun so far though...I hung out with Clay and Tom several nights this past week (and it means a lot!!! thanks guys).  They made me feel welcome and it was cool to get close to them.  They will definitely be long term friends (in and out of CBL).

Other than that, it's been a simple week.  I look forward to exploring a lot more, getting to know people, and FINDING A JOB SOON!!!  This week will certainly be an interesting one...especially with the whole anniversary coming up.  Hope you guys have an awesome week!
