Monday and Tuesday were pretty much spent sanitizing the house, doing laundry, bug bombing the rooms, more laundry, wiping things down, even more laundry, stripping the beds, *cough* laundry, separating things from further contamination, laundry...laundry, oh and even more laundry. No, this wasn't brought into the house by me, wasn't from "whoring" around, and is NOT anyone's fault...it happens, we dealt with it...we're getting over it. But yeah, that made for an interesting start of the week. Many phone calls were made to ensure all parties affected by it, were notified/warned.
Anyway, enough of that. The rest of the week was relatively mellow....uneventful, and lame, all at the same time. Several plans were made and fell through throughout the week. Fortunately/unfortunately none directly affecting me. Wednesday, I was supposed to take Seth to apply for college classes at VCC. That didn't happen...not because of him, but because the funds he was counting on hadn't come thru yet. I'm not sure if he'll be able to make it in time for next semester...but I truly wish him well in that area. This is the most energetic and excited I've seen him get about anything (in my few weeks here). After Wednesday fell thru for him, the plan was to go Thursday, then Friday...now **maybe** Monday, but we'll see. As for the rest on Wednesday, I ended up hitting the store..and then Savoy later in the evening. I'm starting to like Savoy. It's laid back, somewhat quiet...and I enjoy playing darts there.
Thursday was a lazy day....but then again, the whole week was a lazy week. I lounged around all day...hit Savoy again the next night. More darts, one really cute dancer, and several sodas later, I headed for home. I haven't been able to sleep lately, so anything to get out of the house (until I have a job) helps. Right now, it helps me unwind. **By one cute dancer, I mean I saw a cute dancer...didn't do anything with him**
Friday was cleaning day...as usual. Zac has been working on a project all week, so we didn't have to worry about the kitchen (fortunately). After cleaning, I hung out with Clay....went to AE, checked out some clothes (their new line-up), got my car washed, then hit Paradise where we met up with Tom. We hung out there for a bit, playing darts and talking about the many wonders of life....lol....or not. Seriously though, it's cool hanging out with those two. It brings a sense of normalcy to things right now...I can't explain what that means, just trust me.
Saturday and Sunday were very "blah" days. I haven't been feeling well these past few days. Not sure what it is...the heat maybe? stress? people? combination of all those?! I don't know, I laid low the past 2 days, slept most of Saturday, and parts of Sunday. I managed to get a flat tire somehow, so today (Sunday), I spent the other part of the day getting it fixed (thanks to Chaz driving me). After chat, I took off for a bit and did my own thing. Now, I'm back...and finishing my diaries (which I put off all day).
So, the big questions - How's the job hunt going? What's going on with Patrick? Am I falling into the "CBL trap?"
The hunt is going! This week, I had one lead thanks to Chase....I'm still following up with that and the person heading HR. Also, I just got an email from Apple asking me to join a seminar regarding a position I applied for. Peter offered to pick up an application where he works, which I told him I'd greatly appreciate. So yes, I'm still looking for work. Despite sleeping when I am...I AM trying, and have NOT fallen into that trap quite yet.
Patrick, hmmm....we're still on good terms, haven't "disposed" of each other yet. I dropped off his stuff today (he needed his keys). Like last week, I'm playing it by ear...this week I just wasn't feeling it (with anyone)...wasn't feeling well at all and wanted to be left alone. Nobody is leading anyone on. Right now, I'm focussed on getting a job!
I'm hoping this next week, I'll have things close to being figured out/resolved. Until then, have a good week.
